Located on the Moody Gardens complex, the Colonel Paddlewheel Boat is a replica of an 1800-style boat and accommodates up to 800 passengers. Take a free and fabulous ride across Galveston Bay! The ferry runs 24 hours and is the only way to cross the waterway between Galveston Island and Bolivar Peninsula. 

Vehicles should not exceed 80,000 pounds, may have a maximum length of 65 feet, a maximum height of 13.5 feet and a maximum width of 8.5 feet.

You will see up to 450 live sea turtles housed in 30 saltwater tanks. There is no glass or fence between you and the turtles. Operated through the National Marine Fisheries Service. Located at the airport, next to Schlitterbahn and Moody Gardens, the Lonestar Flight Museum began as a private aircraft collection in June of 1985. The facility now has since added more than 80,000 square feet of hangar space and also exhibits aviation memorabilia and artifacts. The flight museum also offers flight experiences in a variety of WWWII planes - B-17, B-25, T-6, Stearman Biplane and a P-51 Mustang.

The Grand has a very special place in the history of the Galveston community and in the lives of many of its residents. It survived the storms of 1900 and 1915, and Hurricanes Carla and Alicia. The Grand is one of the few remaining theatres of its era in Texas and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Enjoy the Galveston Symphony Orchestra, plays, musicals, and visiting musicians throughout the theatre's season.
